Kathy Root from Livingston County DOH was our speaker 01/13/2020. She presented on vaccinations and cited statistics about the flu peaking now in Livingston County. Typically it would be the third week of Feb. They’re also seeing the ‘B’ strain now and that is usually later in the season. She dispelled the myth that one can contract the flu from the vaccine since it is not a ‘live‘ vaccine. Those in attendance over 60 were also encouraged to consider getting the new two-step Shingles vaccine. |

November 18 "Mug Shot" Pres. Mike with Kevin Campbell of EDF Renewables, the company pursing the “Morris Ridge Solar Project” in Mt Morris. The proposed solar photovoltaic facility will be sited on approx 1,000 acres of leased private and mostly cleared land and expects to be operational by 2023. |
